Watching the Boondocks on Adult Swim... trying to get my butt to bed. The last weekend is stilled burned into my mind with the incandescence of a powerful experience. The weekend strted with a few margaritas in the airport sometime around 0900. It was after 1100 somewhere in the world. The PHX crew was Ed (who luckily got bumped to 1st Class but the US air attendant wouldnt ship us drinks from him), Chris, Velasco and I.

Jennifer sat next to V & I - our new single serving freind. She took a picture of us while we were sleeping with her phone and brought it back to her mom. Her mom busted her by coming up and saying "they are cute." Jennifer was pretty quiet after that. We knew the weekend was going to be a great weekend from then on.

The hotel wasnt the Marriott San Diego Harbor Hotel, but it was nice, and the bartender is a nice guy. The great thing is it was close to the beach (1 block), a breakfast place that kicked butt was on the opposing corner and an ATM was across the street. That didnt do me any good though - even though I packed everything and the kitchen sink... I forgot my ATM card!! Velasco was nice enough to draw pesos for both of us. I did take care of dinner a few times and hang on to everyones pesos for charging the whole bill. It all worked out. After taking a short wander we met with Ed's coworker Paul from SFO. Another great guy - the whole 'crew' that weekend was great. Sometimes when you travel all sorts of crap can happen and ruin a good trip for everyone. These guys were awesome to travel with. We pretty much stayed together except for one day when we went to the jungle to take a Canopy Tour. That was a blast! More to come....

We just returned today, the T-mobile rep mis-informed me and my phone didn't work to keep up with this blog while we were there. I hope some of the richness of those moments will last so I can capture them here. I am hitting the rack early tonight so I can hit the grindstone of work again tomorrow in the morning.

Canopy tours, lazy beach days, meeting new friends, reaquainting with old ones, dancing the night away, eating great food (would you expect less of me?), great conversation, great times. Perto Vallarta is a MUST for anyone who wants to let go and have a great time for a weekend or a week.
